The Lascaris palace of Nice highlights flower patterns during the Biennial dedicated to flowers beacause it can be find in paintings, architecture and sets of this place. The flower patterns rises up in the 17th century when Jean - Baptiste Colbert creates the French textile industry with the agreement of king Louis the fourteenth becoming the knowing how symbol of this time. The exotic patterns associated with shiny colors like yellow, red and brown gives a huge importance to flower patterns underlining the lightness. Since the 19th century the textile production follows another way with mass production, low prices far from the sophisticated patterns of the beginning. The exhibition underlines also the Eva Pietruschi work impregnating herself by the palace atmosphere puting flowers in each rooms with a smell bringing us a sens of harmony.
