Nice, my city, my borrough

Exhibition at the Massena Museum until March 2nd 2025, 65 street of France, 06000 Nice, closed Tuesdays and Sundays, open Mondays and from Wednesdays to Saturdays (10am - 6pm), phone : 04.93.91.19.10, ticket full price : 10€.

 

During his Stockholm speech in 2014 the Nobel awarded writer Patrick Modiano spoke about cities as places where memories, emotions and experiences stacking themselves inside our lives. "Nice, my city, my borrough" asks on the relationship between the inhabitants of the Nice city and their background from 1858 to today towqards several topics like the rising of demography, the Brit tourists coming (18th century), the building of infrastructures with the help of energy and the economic life (wine, flowers, ...). Some local and famous painters (Costa, Fricero, Mossa) and also pictures makers highlight the exhibition showing us the strength of art making on the French Riviera.
